Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to dress a certain way for my appointment?

We ask that you dress in a way that it is easy for you to move and easy for you to move and for me to visualize the affected area. This allows a proper assessment and future treatment. This typically means comfortable work out clothing and gym shoes.

Do I need a referral?

Nope! Illinois is a Direct access State so no referral is needed for Physical Therapy. If you are only doing health coaching then nothing is required! (Note- at this time, physical therapy services can only be provided if you live in Illinois)

Do you take insurance?

Currently we are not affiliated with any insurance companies but this is in the works. However, we do create superbills that you can submit to your insurance as an out of network provider and these visits my go towards your plan.

Do I need to have an internal examination for pelvic floor therapy?

If treatment is in person, I typically recommended to have one at some point during the course of our treatment. However, there is so much that can be done without internal examination and even over online appointments!

What should I expect at my first visit?

You can expect a full comprehensive evaluation. From a very in depth intake, to an evaluation of how your body moves and functions (not only just the affected body part). If we've learned anything from the popular kids song....your knee bones connected to the thigh bone....then sometimes assessing above and below your affected area is needed to get the full picture.

Do you offer In Person Appointments?

Yes! If you are located in Illinois near Naperville I may be able to schedule an in person session. Please reach out to me at mimphysicaltherapy@gmail.com.
